The woman shown on video stealing a Husky named Takoda from her own backyard in Seattle, Washington, has turned herself in and has a December 7th court date! The woman’s name is Nancy Howard. The dog has been returned to the owner but had received some unknown injuries while in the “care” of the thief.
Not a lot is known yet but apparently a neighbor of Takoda’s paid Nancy $1,000 to steal her! I guess the neighbors thought Takoda wasn’t being cared for properly by her owners.
Lost Paws Finder isn’t sure exactly what happened and the comments from followers don’t provide much information either. Let’s just hope that Nancy Howard doesn’t get a slap on the wrist!
Takoda’s owners have a YouTube channel with videos of the original theft caught on tape as well as other videos related to the heist.
